Privacy Policy

Sonr is designed to help you save recognised songs and build a personal taste profile while keeping your music data under your control.

Information Sonr stores

Sonr may store songs you save, song metadata, artwork links, taste profile details, favourite artist signals, hidden recommendations, and app settings on your device.

Apple Music

If you grant Apple Music access, Sonr uses MusicKit to look up catalog metadata, artwork, previews, and recommendation-related information. Apple Music access is handled by Apple and can be changed in iOS Settings.

Shortcuts and music recognition

Sonr can receive song details from an iOS Shortcut. The shortcut may pass a recognised title, artist, Apple Music URL, or related song information into the app so the song can be saved locally.

Recommendations

Sonr may use saved song details and metadata to generate recommendations, including similar songs and same-era discoveries. This may involve requesting public music metadata from Apple Music or public music information services.

Data sharing

Sonr does not sell your personal information. Sonr does not require you to create an account. Data sent to Apple Music or other music metadata services is used to provide app features such as artwork, catalog lookup, and recommendations.

Deleting data

You can remove wrong captures or delete saved songs inside the app. You can also remove the app from your device to delete locally stored app data.
